Summer 2026 - kids events
Ditch the screens for some hands-on creativity this summer at Crafty Pots Cafe - and grown ups can take a break too!
Clay Club and Canvas Club offer kids the chance to embrace their creativity, get messy and have fun! Grown ups can take advantage coffee, air con and free Wi-Fi, we'll even clear up the mess afterward - you're welcome.
Kid's Clay Club
Duration: 1hr 45 mins
Minimum age: 7+
Get the kids off screens and back to using their hands and imaginations with this fun and creative clay session. This is a group session with tuition and guidance from the Crafty Pots team throughout. Children will learn simple hand-building techniques to create their own clay masterpieces! The creations will be ready to take home that same day. Just leave it for 24 hours to dry, and you can paint it at home, should you wish!
This is the perfect session for creative kids who love getting messy and making something unique!

Item can be taken home on the day
Cost: £28 per child
We require (max. 1) parents/carer to stay on-site, but encourage you to order a coffee or drink and sit away from the action, make use of our free Wi-Fi and take some time for yourself or get some work done. Maybe bring a book, or even take advantage of the "me time" and paint some pottery.

Kid's canvas club
Duration: 1.5hr
Minimum age: 5 - 16years
The team will be guiding our little artists in creating a masterpiece on canvas, which can be taken home after the session. This workshop offers step by step guidance in a friendly group setting. We aim to strike a balance between structure tuition and freedom, so that each little artist feels supported in their creativity but also able to embrace their own creative flow and imagination.

July:
Tuesday 21st July, 11-12:30 Bubble art workshop
We'll be using a bubble blowing technique to create an under the sea backdrop on canvas. There will be various shapes for artists to use to create a full under water scene on top of their bubble backdrop, or artists can let their imaginations run wild to create their very own mystical vision, with support from the team. - book >>
Tuesday 28th July, 11-12:30 Through the window scene
We'll be creating a magical window scene on our canvas, by first using blending techniques to create either a vibrant ombre sunset or mystical night sky as our backdrop. We will then be adding our own twist with flowers/creatures/moons/stars and anything else in our artists imagination to bring the windows to life. A perfect addition to any bedroom wall! - book >>
August:
Tuesday 11th August, 11-12:30 Squeegee painting workshop (suitable for ages 8+)
This technique involves using dots. blobs and streaks of acrylic paint in your chosen colour pallet and using a squeegee tool to drag and sweep the paint across the canvas to create a completely unique colourful masterpiece. Once the desired background is achieved and allowed to dry, artists can then add to their creation by layering contrasting silhouette images on top. - book >>
Tuesday 18th August, 11-12:30 Bubble art workshop
